At 803 Outpost, we believe the best coffee comes from the wildest places. This month, we’re taking you to the Western Province of Rwanda, to the mist-covered slopes of the Nyamasheke District. Here, near the ancient canopy of the Nyungwe Forest, the Cyiya Community is producing a coffee that is a true tribute to the land.
Since 2011, the Kivubelt group has been on a mission that mirrors our own: elevating quality while honoring the people behind the harvest. Operating out of the Jarama Washing Station, they work with over 500 smallholder farmers who navigate some of the most challenging and beautiful terrains in Africa.
This isn't just "business as usual." Kivubelt provides intensive training and fair pricing that respects the craft, often paying 50% above the local market rate for exceptional lots. When you drink this coffee, you’re supporting a value chain that prioritizes purposeful living and local empowerment.
Grown in rich volcanic loam at staggering elevations of 1,700–1,900 meters, these local Bourbon varieties are nurtured by a cool, high-mountain climate. The result is a bean with a complexity that only high-altitude stress and nutrient-dense soil can provide.
To honor the hard work of the Jarama farmers, we’ve dialed in a Medium-Light roast. We want to preserve those delicate, wild-fruit notes that tell the story of the Rwandan Highlands.

Yes. Because we use specialty‑grade beans and a gentle decaffeination process, our decaf keeps its natural sweetness, body, and tasting notes.
Is your decaf safe for sensitive drinkers?

Are your pods fresher than store‑bought brands?
Absolutely. Most pods sit in warehouses for months. Ours are roasted after you order, then ground and packed immediately for maximum flavor and aroma.
Are your pods compatible with my machine?
Yes — our pods work with all standard Keurig® and K‑Cup® style brewers.
Are your pods recyclable?
Yes. Our pods use recyclable materials. Simply let them cool, remove the lid and grounds, and recycle the cup where facilities exist.
Do fresh‑roasted pods really taste different?
They do. Fresh coffee has brighter flavor, richer aroma, and a cleaner finish. Once you taste fresh‑roasted pods, it’s hard to go back to stale, mass‑produced ones.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.
Exceptions / non-returnable items
Certain types of items cannot be returned, like perishable goods, custom products (such as special orders or personalized items). Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.
Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.
Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.
European Union 14 day cooling off period
Notwithstanding the above, if the merchandise is being shipped into the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days, for any reason and without a justification. As above, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.
Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
