Join the 803 Outpost Coffee of the Month Club
Each month, we take you on a journey—beyond borders, beyond ordinary coffee. From the misty highlands of Ethiopia to the volcanic slopes of Guatemala, our Coffee of the Month Club delivers a fresh-roasted taste of a new region, a new story, and a new adventure.
What You’ll Get:
This isn’t just a subscription. It’s a passport to the planet’s most breathtaking coffee-growing regions—crafted fresh, packed with purpose, and rooted in the wild.
Here at 803 Outpost Coffee Co., we’re drawn to wild places, rugged landscapes, and the people who thrive in them. That’s why we’re incredibly stoked to introduce our July Coffee of the Month: the Papua New Guinea Paraka Koi Natural.
Papua New Guinea (PNG) is one of the most underexplored and challenging coffee origins on the map, especially when it comes to the supply chain. The farms out here are incredibly remote, averaging just a few acres in size, and managed entirely by individual producers and their families. They work with purely organic inputs, but when you're this far off the beaten path, infrastructure for post-harvest processing rarely goes beyond picking and sorting cherries. It's tough, honest work in some of the most beautifully untamed terrain on earth.
The Harvest Specs:
Grower: Ulya Mill
Variety: Bourbon, Arusha, Typica
Region: Ulya, Jiwaka Province, Papua New Guinea
Altitude: 1500-1700 masl
Soil: Volcanic Loam
Process: Full natural and dried in the sun
Roast Level: Medium
Profile Notes: Blueberry, plum, spiced apple cider, rose, nutmeg, chocolate
The Story Behind the Beans Getting coffee out of these remote regions is a massive hurdle, but an exporter named Monpi Coffee Exporters is stepping up to change the game. They are providing critical supply chain support for over 1,000 small producers cultivating coffee around the Waghi Valley. Monpi has invested heavily in a centralized wet mill, local warehouses, and logistics near the town of Ulya to keep the coffee moving.
Because Monpi takes on the heavy lifting and expense of the milling equipment, these small farmers can focus purely on the craft—specifically, meticulous cherry sorting. Once purchased and transported to the central mill, the cherries are floated to weed out any damaged or underripe seeds, then laid out to dry in the sun. Monpi’s recent infrastructure innovations, like adding new drying structures, mean they can consistently hit rigorous quality standards for moisture content and water activity.
Purposeful Living & Giving Back Monpi Coffee isn't just opening up international market access; they’re providing technical support to help farmers improve crop management and diversify their incomes. Because of this dedication to quality and community, these farmers are starting to earn more for their hard work—which is exactly the kind of stewardship that caught our attention.
When you brew a cup of this Paraka Koi Natural, you’re experiencing an incredibly complex, fresh profile of blueberry, spiced apple cider, and chocolate. But more importantly, you’re supporting sustainable, hardworking farming families in a remote corner of the world. And as always, staying true to our core mission, every single roast-to-order bag you purchase directly funds reforestation and environmental stewardship. It's about giving back to Mother Nature, drinking great coffee, and honoring the wild landscapes that inspire us.
Stay wild, and enjoy the roast.
How fresh is your coffee?
We roast every batch after you order — never before. Nothing sits on shelves. Your coffee is roasted, packed, and shipped at peak freshness so you taste the full flavor the farmer intended.
Where do your beans come from?
We source specialty‑grade, ethically grown coffee from small farms and cooperatives around the world. Every origin is chosen for flavor, sustainability, and the story behind the land.
What grind should I choose?
Whole bean gives you the freshest cup, but if you choose ground, we grind specifically for your brew method so you get the perfect extraction every time.
Do you offer subscriptions?
Yes — our subscription delivers fresh coffee on your schedule. You can pause, skip, or cancel anytime. No commitments, just consistently fresh coffee.
How does 803 Outpost Coffee give back?
A portion of every order supports reforestation and environmental restoration in coffee‑growing regions. The wild places that grow our coffee deserve protection — and we’re committed to giving back.
How should I store my coffee?
Keep it sealed, cool, and away from light. No fridge or freezer needed — just store it in the original bag or an airtight container.
How long does your coffee stay fresh?
For peak flavor, enjoy within 3–4 weeks of roasting. It won’t “go bad,” but fresh‑roasted coffee always tastes best early.
Do you offer grind options?
Yes — choose whole bean or select your brew method (drip, pour‑over, French press, espresso). We grind to order.
How is your decaf processed?
We use the Swiss Water® Process — a 100% chemical‑free method that removes caffeine while preserving flavor. No solvents, no harsh chemicals, just clean decaf.
Does your decaf still taste like real coffee?
Yes. Because we use specialty‑grade beans and a gentle decaffeination process, our decaf keeps its natural sweetness, body, and tasting notes.
Is your decaf safe for sensitive drinkers?
Absolutely. Swiss Water® Process decaf is ideal for anyone avoiding chemicals or looking for a clean, smooth cup without caffeine.

⭐ MISSION / BRAND
Who is behind 803 Outpost Coffee?
We’re a small, husband‑and‑wife team who love the outdoors, adventure, and great coffee. Our brand was born from our time on the Appalachian Trail and our belief that coffee should connect people to the wild places it comes from.
Why “Outpost”?
Because coffee is more than a drink — it’s a moment of pause, a place of grounding, a small outpost in a busy world. We want every cup to feel like that.
⭐ POD‑SPECIFIC
Are your pods fresher than store‑bought brands?
Absolutely. Most pods sit in warehouses for months. Ours are roasted after you order, then ground and packed immediately for maximum flavor and aroma.
Are your pods compatible with my machine?
Yes — our pods work with all standard Keurig® and K‑Cup® style brewers.
Are your pods recyclable?
Yes. Our pods use recyclable materials. Simply let them cool, remove the lid and grounds, and recycle the cup where facilities exist.
Do fresh‑roasted pods really taste different?
They do. Fresh coffee has brighter flavor, richer aroma, and a cleaner finish. Once you taste fresh‑roasted pods, it’s hard to go back to stale, mass‑produced ones.
